How do I care for bugs?

A lot of people keep a number of bugs and spiders for pets, or study them.

The idea is to re-create a natural habitat and supply food and water.

Different arthropods need different keeping requirements, so it depends on the critter(s) you will be keeping.

Here is a good site to get started:

Larger bugs and flying insects are easily caught with nets or collection devices, some, like preying mantis, are easier caught by hand.

Very small or tiny bugs are better caught with an aspirator (pooter)

I would like to take care of a few insects for a while just to study them, and decided that catching a few and caring for them until I release them back would be fine. I am curious though as to the easiest bugs to catch and/or care for. How do I catch bugs without using my hands exactly and what are the best bugs to take care of along with how do I care for them?
