How can omnivores sit down to enjoy a meal?

When they are aware of the pain, torture and slaughter of innocent animals that have enabled to make their plate more appetising?

The introduction of meat to the homonid diet directly led to increases in the brain development leading to advances in speech and language.

I have teeth which indicate that meat is an important part of our diet.

We had animals at home for the express purpose of ending up in our freezer. I watched them getting killed as a young child. I like eating meat, although I think we need are more vegetarian diet.

The vast majority of animals that are killed for eating are done in a humane and fast method, unlike how other animals kill and eat animals, which can be painful and tortuous. They don't have the same parts of the brain that share empathy for the prey they are eating. I find it ironic that the introduction of meat to our diet led to the part of the brain that empathises with others and now that part of the brain makes some people over emotional about eating meat.

Most omnivores are not aware or do not think of these things.

Omnivores are, of course, evil because they eat herbivores as well as herbs. Carnivores are good because they eat only omnivores and protect the herbivores. Herbivores are good because they harmlessly eat plants. That is, on the planet of Nacre. Not so much on Earth. Many Earth carnivores eat mostly herbivores.

I'd imagine it's much the same thought process snobs go through in their head, that tells them it's ok to dictate how others should live their lives.

No, wait. It isn't. I'd rather eat delicious animal carcass.

My taste buds and an understanding in my evolutionary biology.

Why y'all got to spread your activism here on Y!A? Don't you have somewhere else to do this? Go eat a leaf

There is nothing anyone here who eats meat could say to make you get off your horse and you know it. What exactly is the point of this question?
