How Do I Take Care of Wild Baby Bird?

Its best chance for survival is to put it up off the ground in a nearby bush or tree and stay away from it. Babies leave the nest early to be safe if a predator finds the nest and the parents hear it and care for it. They will not come if they see you so view them from afar with binoculars.

Thanks. :( Unfortunately, the little guy passed away. I found it stiff and dead this morning before I had a chance to do anything to help it. But at least now I know what to do if I run into this situation again. I didn't know that fully-feathered baby birds are still fed by their mother while out of the nest.

Depending on how young it really is, sadly there is a high chance it won't make it. Baby birds need their mothers. I would say your best bet is to take it to an vet or animal hospital asap. They can find someone who raises birds.

I found a baby bird on my lawn. It looked like it had fallen out of a nest. It didn't look TOO young but t's small, and it couldn't fly yet. I pet it and it opened its mouth like it wanted me to put a worm in it. I put it in a small open container on top of some hay and soft grass and put it in a secure area of our lawn, but I don't know what to do for it. I don't know what to feed it or if it needs water or what. I couldn't find any worms. I tried feeding it some wet cat food with a medicine dropper but it wouldn't eat it. Any ideas what I should do? Would it eat noodles? Birdseed? Should I buy some worms at a pet store???
