I have seen people but ice pack wrapped in a towel underneath them.
My hen has been broody for about three weeks now and shows no signs of giving up any time soon. She is making herself I'll with not eating or drinking and I try give her food and drink about three times a day but she keeps having less every day. She won't budge from her nesting box.
What should I do to help her? I have had her since a chick and care about her a lot. Also, I've heard of keeping broody hens in a wire cage however I have no cage and don't want to separate her from her sisters. I've also heard of dunking them in cold water but I could not bring myself to do that to the poor girl!! What should I do to break her from her spell and quickly without upsetting her too much?
