Yes; my husband (fiance at the time) and I were walking in some woods and ahead of us we saw a man ahead of us with his Doberman Pinscher dog, which was not on a lead. It heard us when we trod on a dry twig and turned round, racing towards us with its teeth bared. I was rooted to the spot in fear; the dog was about 2 feet away from us when the man whistled for it and it turned back, thankfully. I can honestly say that I was terrified!
Every morning in the nice weather I am challenged by a female raccoon with 3 babies, who feels that I owe her. She charges me (I carry a rake or broom) to see if I will abandon the fill for the birdseed. She will charge from under my car in the driveway, growling nastily. She will wait outside my backdoor. It's kind of surreal.
