I live in southern California. I do not recall seeing a shark in the ocean, but people who fish from the piers catch them regularly. Only small ones, of course, but they are sharks.
I expect that I have been near many small sharks on the seashore without knowing it. They are not exactly sociable with humans.
Of course I have seen them at the Aquarium. The biggest sharks, like the biggest whales, eat the smallest food.
Experts say if u have been in the ocean a few times, u have been near a shark whether or not u saw it.
Sharks are migrating north because of temperature changes in the water, and yes I have seen one (on tv, next to my favorite restraunt not in person) I do not like how comfortable everyone is in the water. Why not use shark nets?
yes
I'm from the City and don't live near a beach so I'm just curious?
