HOW TO SAVE AN INJURED PIGEON?

Posted at: 2014-11-15
It would depend on the severity of the injury. I once found an injured pigeon a while back (years ago), it was struggling to walk and fly. I remember picking it up and putting it in a cardboard box in my garden with some blankets, left some water there and bread. I then just left it alone. It soon started flying again.

The best thing to do though would probably be to take it to someone who knows what to do, such as a vet or a rescue center for treatment.

I first of all want to say it s a true deed to take a care and love. I would personally just bring him home try leaving bread and water in it until you can get to a vet they often have rescue programs or can give you help on how to care for it . Hope this helps ????Izzy

Thanks @Potato and @Izzy Deller for the help. If anyone else knows more, please contribute. I want to be more informed and of some help in case something similar happens next time.

Yesterday, I picked up an injured pigeon that got hurt by a moving car. Being a layman, I didn't know what to do. I just tried to make him drink water, but it didn't work out and he died in my hands. Please tell me what do in such situations to save a life.
