Take it to the vet as soon as you can. As for now Im assuming its a wild bird so its going to be very stressed from being handled and put in a cage so try to leave it alone as much as possible. Make sure it has a drink. Fill a shallow dish with water. Then I would just leave it untill you can get it to a professional. Do not handle the bird again yourself or try to give it medical treatment. You will only make its injury worse. TAKE IT TO THE VETS.
I would wrap it's leg in something stiff so it can't move, get it some worms, and once you get the chance ask your parents to take it to the vet with you.

i just found out that the birds leg is too weak to stand
the leg of the bird is injured i found it at school i saw it yesterday but left it alone like what my teacher told me but today they all insisted for me to bring it. its a Maya bird i applied an ointment thign which said its safe for minor injuries, it wont eat it could fly, the wing isnt, injured only one leg is hurt and im in panic right now!! Im more stressed than the bird right now!!! its in my house i cant bring it to the vet cuz its very far and im only 6th grade!!!!! what to do what to do!!!!!!! PLease give me advise!!!!!
