So, today, I was out in my grandma's barn, just sitting down, and then I noticed a baby bird stuck in this nest, which was located in the corner of the barn, on the ceiling. He was flapping his wings, trying to get out, so, I decided to help him. I grabbed a stick, and stood on top of a stool, and lightly poked the nest, so he could be free. The ceiling was too high up, otherwise I would have grabbed the nest down. Anyways, after poking the nest two, or three times, it finally dispatched from the ceiling. It fell down, and the little bird fell with it. At this point, I checked to see if he was alright, because I thought that after poking the nest down, he would've just fallen for a second, and then flown away, but this was not the case. His leg was caught in a couple of bristles, within the nest, and honestly, I did not know that it was a baby bird until I had gotten a closer glance. The fall was pretty high, and it punctured one of his lungs, and I'm pretty sure that one of his legs had broken. I took him inside, and gave him a bath, and then asked my great grandma if she could help him. We gave him some water, and Bach Remedy, but soon after, he died in my hands. I buried him, shortly afterward, and I've just felt so sad, ever since. That's the first time that I have caused death upon another living thing, other than insects, and I can't rid of this guilt. What should I do?
