Green Cheek Conure with Cockatiel?

Actually it would be a great idea! I would say if u raised the green cheeck next to your tiel it might even make her want to bond with u since she sees you're not hurting the green cheeck and shell prob. Want to play too! Also it depends on the bird because my friend has

Three green cheecks male and 2female. The male is really nice and so is one of the females. They even play with my tiels wen we bring them over. They will usually have the normal argument but that's quite much.the other female on the other hand is tame but just picks up fights in a snap sometimes that is why for the first weeks their together observe closely.I would also suggest you let him in her cage when he has a good age to socialize better for a couple minutes will will you supervize how they are with each other! Hope this helps and goodluck;):)

I have an older aged female cockatiel. She is very nice, I rescued her when she was already an adult though so we don't have as strong of a bond as I would like. I've always wanted to raise a bird from a baby and teach it tricks and get a close bond with it. An opportunity has come up to get a baby green cheek conure. I was thinking of having the baby green cheek in a small cage next to my cokatiel until he grow a little and maybe putting them in the same cage? I dont think my cokatiel would be aggressive but people say that green cheeks like to pick fights sometimes. But I'm hoping since the green cheek is so much younger and he will grow up with the cockatiel he wont pick fights with her. And I will let them play together outside of the cage to make sure they get along before trying to put them in the same cage. Don't worry, the cage I have is big enough for like 3-4 cokatiels, they should have enough space. Can anyone tell me if this is a bad or good idea and why please? I really want the green cheek baby. Thanks.
