A couple weeks ago I was looking for a chicken coop plan to show me how to build a coop mainly because I didn't want to wait and pay 400$ for a pre-made one I knew I could probably make pretty easily. I couldn't really find any free information that was really detailed, I wanted a guide that had all the materials listed and a step by step guide for any amount of chickens. I used it to build a chicken coop for 6 chickens and didn't have any issues it actually only took me 4 days to build.

My mom and I want to build a chicken coop and get some hens. Probably between 8-10 hens (and I might get 2 silkies as well). Are there any free coop designs that are well detailed and coops that can be built on a budget? My mom is very handy so it doesn't necessarily have to be an easy build, though we'd like it to not be extremely difficult. We'd like the coop to be a small as possible yet large enough for 8-10 hens (they will freely roam the yard from 6:30/7am - 7:30/8 pm)
