You will want to focus on math and bio science courses. Also know that each state offers a wildlife rehab license. Just google your state and wildlife rehab license. For example "new york wildlife rehab license" and it will give you links to get started in the program. Of course with a zoology degree you would go through college for that.
With travel it just depends on the type of job you take... some travel, some do not.
