totally, i have them as pets, 5 of them, just keep them in their own area, hook up a chickenhouse, with shelter make sure your fence is high so they dont jump or flap away. Get their food, make sure you let them out in the morning as soon as possible into the sunlight, feed them, give them water and put them back in at about 7:oo clock.
If you have a neighbour with a dog or cat or anything, PLEASE dont get a chicken, they can eat chickens. Look after them, make sure they dont escape.
