Do we actually need most other animal species?

You could call me the exterminator cause I would take out trash like you and enjoy doing it. To get back to your comment, suicides are nothing and I've watched more than one person die. You could say I'm a little sick in the head, but it's animals like you that make people like me twisted and if you get too close I'm like a razor that will cut your throat.

Ps. Just because you think you're untouchable online doesn't mean people can't find exactly where you live.

So shut your ******* mouth you big bully! :)

Yay! Ignorance!

This is a pretty stupid question, I'm not going to lie.

So, the Gaia hypothesis basically says that a certain amount of forests and other environments are required for the Earth to support most life, including humans. Lets say you somehow exterminated all trees in the rainforest except for, say, 20 species. Humanity would be screwed, and the world would overheat and everything would die.

The thing is, biodiversity is important, and if you don't actively study animals, you will never recognize how important it is. Some people say that everyone should understand why biodiversity is important. While I support their reasoning, there are the few who are-

You know what?

I'm bored. I can't type this anymore. Too boring.

Bye.

P.S. Wait, was this a troll?

Hi,

It's actually very important to maintain biodiversity as much as possible. This is because certain organisms may possess disease-resistant genes or useful chemicals that maybe scientists have not yet discovered, which could benefit the human population.

It would also disrupt food chains so that animals we use as food sources could be at risk of surviving.

Hope this helps

You sound like a money grubbing conservative who wants to repeal the endangered species act. You want to make as much money as you possibly can before you croak, even if what you do may destroy the earth. Well, you only live a few decades, 100 years + if you are lucky. You cannot take your money with you to the grave. So, in the end, you are just ruining the environment for nothing.

You are really ignorant. All life is precious. God created ALL of the creatures on earth for a reason. Not to mention that deer hunters ARE NOT "heroic", THEY ARE MURDERERS and we shouldn't use oil lines, we should find a clean source of renewable energy instead.

Scientists say it disrupts the food chain, and you need carnivores to keep population in check.

The best option is, let them live free.

In my opinion, we as humans should intentionally wipe out most of the other species on the planet since we don't really need them. We're humans, we're the smartest, so why the hell do we need to have these weird microorganisms floating around, let alone allow dangerous cougars to roam free, attacking our heroic deer hunters and destroying our beautiful oil pipelines?
