Thank you for your view, but I would rather receive an answer to my question. It is not the purpose of this website to receive such a comment.
Well, Ihave a relative who has a snowy owl as a pet in her garden but you do need a permit. If you want to know more about the permits and other details to keeping an owl it has it on this site--http://www.barnowltrust.org.uk/infopage....
You can buy baby ones from breeders who you can find on sites like this --http://www.preloved.co.uk/adverts/list/3...
If you keep searching you should be able to find one for sale in ireland
I would definitely advise getting a baby and not a grown one, it will take a lot more care but you can hand rear it, the adults tend not to be so easy to handle and are pretty dangerous. They have to be fed dead chicks so you'll have to get a supplier to get them from and a freezer to keep them in as you won't want dead chicks in your own one probably.
Anyway, most people advise not to get one but as long as you look after it, give it a nice bit aviary and dedicate quite a lot of time into its upbringing it should be fine :)
As much as you love them, please let it stay out in the wild and nature where it BELONGS, not in your human clutches please.
Do I need special permits? Does anyone know where to get a little owl?
