Well i say it wasnt your cat ,,you would see long tail feathers on the bottom or out side your cage,,,this is what i think your female bird was sick,,,your male picked on your female until you found her....this is common in birds that are sick,,,others sometime kill them your male is an aggressive bird if you get another bird buy a male then in a few months they will be alright....good luck

Well maybe it could have been. Can the cat fit its paws through the cage wires? You can try to call the pet store you got him from and ask them if they would take the bird back or call some pet store if they would take him ask facebook friends if they want him . If you think your cat did it then hes just being a cat you cant blame him.

I had that happen too. now he lives with a larger bird a cockatiel He killed his child and second mate too..

Found her, there are quite a few feathers, her head is very damaged. No evidence of the cage being tampered with, but we do have a cat. I have witnessed abusive birds before.

Also, if he did it, what can I do with him? I wouldnt want him as a pet anymore.
