Well his young so he could still be making noises which he will grow out of also he will learn sounds and words from you guys so if you want try and teach him specific words or even whistles you would want him to learn.

We've had our 4 month old Cockatiel for over a week now. The guy who sold him to us suspects it's a boy. We will be going to the vet next week for a check up and blood test for him.

However, we are both concerned about some noises he makes. He's attached to my fiance and normally makes this soft chirp and snuggles up to him so we figured he's just happy and content. Tonight he started making a low, raspy almost growling type noise along with the soft happy chirp. Is this normal for a baby cockatiel? All his other behavior seems to be normal.
