There is a mite spray for birds you can get that should get rid of them quickly. You can find it at pet stores, feed stores, and possibly walmart, but make sure it's specifically for bird mites. Do not spray this in your birds eye. Spray it in the air and let it rain down on him.

My poor little budgie seems to have burrowing mites round his eyes and beak i dont want it to spread anymore i tried petroleum jelly for 5 days then on the 6th i saw that he had burrowing mites near his eyes too. Is ivermectin used to cure near the eyes? Will the lost feathers near his eyes grow back?
