This sounds a bit like a moth larvae going through metamorphosis. Certainly nothing to worry about, but there is no escape from flying insects, and more of them can't be ruled out.

This is completely stupid and I realize that, but I live in Toronto Ontario, Canada. & I moved into an apartment building on the 11th floor thinking that there would be no spiders or bugs, because I have a serious phobia, but im looking at this little white worm thing in my kitchen, its on the ceiling & its tiny but its white and it has a little black dot on its butt, Im scared that it will fall on one of my cats or something and then my cats will bring it near me because they are always on my bed. Can anyone tell me what it is, I dont think its a maggot. I just want to know what it is because im concern that it might lay eggs and there will be more of them, thanks.
