just let them get more used to each other. i have a about 10 month old female budgie, and i got a 2 months old male budgie. when they started living in the same cage, i always see them both preening each other, and fighting. but its more like arguing than fighting cuz they dont hurt each other.

wit my birds, im just keeping them together. they get along most of the time, so im sure your birds will be fine too.

its a good thing the female is older than the male if you plan to breed. but you should wait until you know for sure that they are bonded. i kind of have to wait a year+ since my male is too young to breed. but you;ll have to have a nesting box if you want them to breed.

i have a female budgie and a male one

i got them from different stores and put them in a big cage for about 5 days

sometimes or very few few times i see the male one courting and kissing the female one

and most of the time the female fights the male when he tries to kiss her or something

should i keep going on like that? will they finally mate ? the female is older than the male... please help
