the best type of material for cage's is always stainless steel but some shops sell breeding cages made out of wood which are almost twice as cheap as stainless steel one's

Aluminum , or chicken wire and make your own with it .

I need to buy a new bird cage and I can't afford the stainless steel ones at the moment so I was wondering if anyone here can suggest what type of material (metal) is the best to prevent rust? Does it really matter what kind it is?
