If you are worried about the cold then stay with chickens that do not have large combs. The smaller the comb the less likely they will suffer from frost bite.

Any chickens are fine.

I live in Alaska and next summer I'm getting chickens. I've been researching different breeds I have a couple ideas but would like some other suggestions. I'd like a chicken that has good meat and is tolerant of the cold. I've been looking at chickens with feathering on their feet, but I'm not sure which are good quality meat?
