I agree that cockatiels are the best first bird. They can learn to talk and whistle and are more tame-able than parakeets. I used to own a parakeet so I know that they aren't very tame-able. I got a cockatiel two months ago and loved it so much I got another:). If you want a really tame one get a handfed as the are very sweet. Do a lot of research before you by one on cage size, food, lifespan, mutations etc.
My 8 month old whiteface male cockatiel(he was my first) and my 5 month old cinnamon pearl pied(right) cockatiel are in the picture.

I agree that a Cockatiel is the best beginner bird. My mother gave me Cuddles the Cockatiel when I turned eleven and that bird rewarded me with sixteen years of loyal and loving companionship. Any bird you get, you HAVE to invest time and trading in. She SCREAMED for years until I learned how to properly take care if her-- diet (no seeds!!!), exercise and sleep routines need to be adhered to. In the end, especially in the final years, the avian speciality bills were in the thousands of dollars. Be prepared to raise them as you would a child.
Cockatiel are the best birds. there are lots of trained Cockatiel for sale and you can even train it yourself. Cocktiels are cute and behaves like a puppy. R.i.p, Dragonku, my Cockatiel.

I think zebra finches are the cutest birds ive come across. However if you want to train them you must bring them up since they are babies. Because if you try to train an adult one it will not trust you
something that is very easy to train and gets use to you easily, isn't annoying (like chirping), and is CUTE and PRETTY ^_^ ^_^ Thanks
