Bears and wilderness?

Whenever I see bears, they are always alone. Why are they always alone? Why do wolves stay in packs when a bear can do the same with other bears?

bears are solitary. males are alone unless they're mating with a female, and females are with their cubs if they have any until they're full grown. bears don't need to be in packs, they're strong enough on their own and ultimately too aggressive to put up with each other. wolves are strong, but their strength lies in numbers and teamwork. a lone wolf is often a hungry wolf

It's not a "why", It's an "is". wolves are pack animals, and bears are not. However, you may see a mother bear and cubs. Give them a wide berth because until the cubs go find their own territory the mother bear will protect them

wolves hunt and since they hunt large game, so they need to be within groups in order to hunt them. bears, on the other hand, are foragers so they go alone. it makes sense, because they want more food. if you're alone = more food for your family.
