Baby ducks! Help?

They are needing almost the same as chicks so Chicks the 1st week need heat at their body height at 95 degrees F (35 C) and after 1 full week reduce to 90 F (32.2 C), the third week is at 85 F (29.4 C), the fourth at 80 F (26.6 C) the fifth at 75 F (23.8 C) and the sixth at 70 F (21.1 C) if the room temp is 70 they will not need extra heat but if not room at 70 keep the heat lamp and the temp at 70 until mostly feathered. A 100 watt red heat bulb is good for the heat source. Be sure they have space to get away from the heat. When they are hot they will move away from the heat and when cool will be huddled under the heat. They need water and a chick starter feed 24/7, I prefer the crumble. I start feeding them pellets at two weeks and add more and more as they eat it. I give less and less starter until it is used up. Feed them some grit from the feed store. I always force feed mine 3-5 grits or small stones the size of a rice grain and put them in separate box till all get some. This is to assure me that every chick has grit in the gizzard. I put newspaper in a large cardboard box and hang the heat bulb low enough for the proper temp around the height of their head. charles@mascaro.us

Charles has good ideas. I used to place my new babies chicks or ducklings on an old towel Ina large crate or box with the light hanging over head not too close and off set so they can get away from the heat if necessary. Once they are larger I can used news paper. I always placed the water fountain in top of a over turned bowl or 2X4 to raise it up so its wasn't too low to the ground so the duckling couldn't stand in it. Well scrambled eggs are a great food for babies. Cook it to the point its dry and crumbly. Use fine chick starter or try to find duck food. Some chick food is medicated and can cause problems with ducks. Buy a good book on how to raise ducks as you will have more questions in the future and want to have the best knowledge.

So I have 4 baby ducks and they make me so scared I feel like they eat the bedding do they?? Because they nibble on it a lot and they eat there food and everything help please I love them and don't want them to die of have anything wrong with them and in there feet the skin is kinda peels so please someone who knows tell me about them!
