Female budgies have any combination of pink,white and or tan while makes have blue,so it is probably a male. Also if a budgie puffs up its feathers that means it scared, so when it does that try talking softly to it,give it a treat or two and softly pet and scratch it's head. If that doesn't work gently put it back in the cage and try again later. Don't feel bad because it can take MONTHS before a budgie is comfortable around its owner so just give it lots of time,effort and mostly patience

my budgie get one my hand and kinda dances with its feathers fluffed up. Dances as in walks around on my hand kinda stomping around. And I think its a girl but some times its skin above the nose looks blue . Any idea what this means
