Are wolf spiders dangerous?

Where my house is used to be a corn field. I know there are wolf spiders in my yard, I have even seen them in my house. Are they dangerous, especially to a teen?

Only if you are allergic to venomous bites and stings, otherwise, they are quite harmless.

I have handled a good number of wolf spiders, and only bitten once by a very large female protecting babies on her back. My persistence in catching her, provoked the bite, so was my bad.

Stung a little like a mild bee sting, but gone the next day.

@ Daniel, there is no evidence wolf spiders cause any significant injury.

Not in the slightest. The venom has very minor effect on humans (much less than a bee or wasp sting, for instance), and they're very unlikely to bite (comparatively, wasps will sting you at the drop of a hat, and even honeybees are far more likely to sting than spiders almost all spiders are to bite). Worry about dog bites or cat bites or human bites; don't worry about spider bites.

Wolf spiders inject venom into their prey but also the humans whom they believe would harm them or such. an bite from a wolf spider can cause pain, swelling, redness of the area, itching, and are known for necrotic wounds which can be serious. but importantly the venom can cause death if the spider bite isnt medically attended.

Toxic but not fatal.

Not unless you are an insect. Look it up. It is easier to look it up, than it is to ask on answers.
