Some of them have meaning, not known to humans. We can figure out some of them. Complex communication is unlikely. Others are likely worse than useless as they can attract preditors.
If you don't know that animals express different meanings in the noises they make, you've never owned a pet.
Or are they actually languages that can be decrypted/translated?
