I also used to buy her good quality parrot mix - she used to love the sunflower seeds in it but would waste a lot of the rest. I used to put the seed she wasted out for the garden birds and we had sunflowers growing all over the place, I expect you're giving him grit , cuttlefish and millet sprays.
She used to love picking the seeds out of melons - all types too.
I've heard that grapes and raisins are poisonous to dogs though.

Hi my grey is about 21 yo , clear alert eyes, no sounds while breathing, poops vary depending on what and how much he has eaten NEVER HAD DIARRHEA. VOCAL, dances, great appetite. Plucked neck feathers (fuzzy now) grinds beak when comfy, clean vent area, dry cere normal breathin , preens and sleeps on one foot ( feathers are never tucked or fluffed up for prolonged periods.
So my question is, I recently bought parrot food (hartz bonanza) and it was like five bucks and I worried that it may have expired or something, he only ate a bit of it and u was wondering if I encountered a problem with him and the food what items ( fruits, veggies organics ) can be used to "detox" the body or something?
